Im planning to buy an rtx 2080ti. Previously i had an gtx 960 card. So can i run both cards on a same system? Like Use both of them simultaneously? Given that i buy an motherboard that supports both cards and has two PCIe slots. Like who wud say no to extra processing power?

And are there motherboards that support such vastly different cards?

Every motherboard will support these two cards, since they both use the same PCI-e interface. However, you can't use them both on the same application. When gaming/rendering/etc, you'll only be able to use one of the graphics cards, so the 960 will be virtually useless for you.

Only use for it would be if you wanted to do two things at once. For example, gaming on the 2080Ti and maybe running a render/folding@home on the 960.

But they can't be contributing to the same task in most cases, only a few applications, such as crypto mining or BOINC can do that.
