How big of a mousepad should I get?

Hi, I am almost done building my first build but I can´t decide on the size of my mousepad.

 

I´m deciding between a medium or a large Qck Edge. If I would buy the Large version, I would have around 10cm of clearence (free space) on my desk (120cm - Table / 44cm - Keyboard / 45cm - Mousepad / 21cm - Case). Is 10cm enough? Or should I get the Medium for 10cm more of clearence.

This is mostly up to you.  I would recommend the large version because you can't really go wrong with extra room for the mouse imo

Depends how much you move your mouse

Some have it on such high dpi that they barely move 5cm

I'd say as big as your table can accommodate. Mine literally has a mousepad enough to cover my 80cm long table.

This... and there is a chance that you'll decrease your sens/DPI in the future and might save you from buying a new pad.

Biggest you can reasonably fit in your workspace. Due to where my tower is I can't use my massive mousepad (it's almost as wide as the desk I now use it on here at work, and about twice as tall as a normal mouse only pad), so I use a standard wide Corsair one. I'm a big fan of pads that have room for both the keeb and mouse, it gives you plenty of space to move the mouse if you need/want to, and it's just a more comfortable surface to rest your wrists/forearms on during long gaming sessions than the stock desk top.

I got a piece of leather scrap from a local car upholstery shop. 40x20cm. So...theres that option
