MiniMac?

I wonder is that motherboard smaller than the Mac Mini? I wonder could you fit any CPU with any GPU, we custom cooling inside of a 4 inch thick case.

And if it is less than 10% larger than the Mac Mini, could you make a fake Mac Mini case.

No, you couldn't. Not at least any GPU worth using.

if you really want a mac mini clone computer just buy a NUC and get a custom enclosure, you're looking at a big headache otherwise

CPU wise, it needs to be Intel, GPU wise, it needs to be AMD Polaris or Navi pretty much. WiFi/BT need to be broadcom etc. so no, you can't fit any hardware. macOS doesn't support of off the shelf generic PC parts.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

It’s a standard itx.  170mm x 170mm. Mac mini 4th gen case is 197mm x 197mm.  The kicker though is the height is only 36mm.  So you could do it if the cooler was some sort of screaming dynatron.  Apple gets away with it by doing weird custom hamster wheel fans built just for the case.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
