there is a subforum dedicated to discussing new builds where you can get multiple inputs, rather than dms

and usually a budget is helpful if you get there

Can't tell if they're begging for money or if they actually need help with choosing parts.

OP, you need to elaborate a bit more.

That's plenty for you first computer, get your hands on an older desktop from the likes of dell and such, It'll be great for CSGO, Minecraft and less demanding games like that. You will always have an opportunity to grow with the desktop and grow with it over the years, good luck!

Edit

Now with that said, for someone not too familiar with what classifies as a good buy, would suggest getting your priories straight and ask yourself what you are looking to play, with your budget in mind and the kind of system you are looking for and the bargain level PCs in particular being of interest. Share some post from the marketplace here and ask members if they think it's a good buy compared to x y z, it'll go a long way, next thing you know you'll be shopping for a new GPU 6 months down the road looking for more performance ?

Again good luck and happy birthday! Wish you the best~

Thank you very much can I get a guide to how to put it together to I am not the most experienced person.

The move for a basic machine in that range at least used to be to buy some sort of old prebuilt office desktop that was NOT a SFF system, but had 4 cores.  Ideally 4/8, 8meg of memory, preferably more, and the. Put a 1650ti or a 570 or some other card that did not have an external power port, and then you could play whatever it had. Which was 1080p or less.

I don’t know how well that recipie holds up any more.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Try your area via Facebook Market, Craigslist, LetGo, etc.

I frequently pick up used gaming rigs for around $100-150.

For example, here are a few I've attained:

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/trevb0t/saved/#view=nbJVcf

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/trevb0t/saved/#view=FLWZZL

There may or may not be anything immediately available, but if you watch the market, you'll find it!

Ok??? Um I will try????

The reason for no SFF systems is they frequently had either no pcie slot for the video card or no space in the case to put a card.

Clearly you've never seen this oddly sensual tutorial:

You're missing the conversation prior to all of this.

I'm not suggesting OP will find this gear.

I'm pointing out a funny guide to how to put a GPU into an Optiplex, since HM stated none was needed.

But you're right. An i7 for $120 is an unreasonable ask these days.

you can find a few sandy bridge i7 prebuilts for $130-150 on ebay, but then the PSU usually doesn't have enough wattage anyway. Another way is to find a LGA 1366 workstation and upgrade to a 6-core xeon. the xeons cost peanuts now and they're more likely to have PSUs that have enough wattage.

I got a 4770k with a weak OC on it, making it more powerful than that optiplex, and I’m not counting on the thing to live past April.  I saw some SFF i5s on eBay that might maybe be modable. 4/4 is even less likely to cut it than 4/8 though
