Huh?

Plenty of stuff is decent for the 3600. It only draws 65W, that's nothing for a reasonably-built motherboard.

These motherboards CAN (not that they should be used for this) support overclocking on a 3950X, so 65W is not a lot. Motherboard tier list in my signature, take it up with them if you strongly disagree.

Issue is getting a board that has bios flashback that actually allows you to update the bios without needing a older chip. Any board even one with no heatsinks on the VRM will work fine with a 65 watt 3600.

actually its pretty underwhealming for what you usually pay for it. 

 

lots of plastic that makes it look neat, but the hardware is comparable to cheaper boards.

if going anything B450 go with MSI. They have comparatively great power delivery. A320 is your own funeral

 

if you really want to hit under $100US I presume I would try for a 2nd hand X370 or X470 if you're lucky.

OP I don't know where you are from but this is what I have used with no problems

Ryzen 1800x with B350 tomahawk and B450 tomahawk

Ryzen 3600 with B450 tomahawk

Ryzen 3600x with X470 gaming plus and B450 tomahawk max

 

You don't have to spend a ton on a board, just dont buy a junker A320 board and you should be fine. Your looking at getting a 65 watt cpu that won't overclock so it's not like you need to go overkill here, just don't buy a junker board

MSI "MAX" boards are guaranteed to come with 3rd-gen support out of the box, so I usually recommend those.
