Short CPU tower cooler

i was wondering if anybody knew of a CPU heatsink that did better than my Freezer 34 (85C easily under full load) while still fitting nicely inside my O11-Dynamic, aside from AIO's
i'm not opposed to watercooling, i'm just looking for the cheaper solution that can usually be found in an air cooler

some of the bequiet topflow style coolers maybe? though the dark rock tf is not cheap

Thank you for the suggestions, but I do feel like these are on the extreme side of shorter

well you wanted something that cools, and that comes with some sort of size

The flimsy solutions won't fix your problem

I wasn’t meaning they were too big if that is what you were thinking, I was thinking they were unexpectedly short

Problem is that the O11 hasn't much width to play with, and there aren't many heatsinks that fit the dimensions at all. So something like the tf is your best bet.

And with the 130mm of the dark rock tf you have to conisder that you don't want the side panel too close so that it can get some air too

When you only have 155mm room and good budget cooler, options tend to be limited.

 

Towers:

• Scythe Fuma 2
• Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B
• Noctua D9L
• Scythe Ninja 5

There are probably few others which would be upgrade. Like Thermalright Macho 120 and True Spirit, plus Scythe Kotetsu.

I looked at Thermalright stuff, nothing really under 155mm that I would buy. If it was me I’d get a different case or look to an AIO if some kind

i was just looking around my room, and i realized that i have 2 PC's and 4 CPU coolers already, should probably skip the replacement air cooler (although tempting) on that note though, not really sure what AIO i should go for but that is for another time i suppose

One of these is not like the others.. The NH-D9L isn't a great performer and is probably a downgrade. The NH-U9S is a bit better but probably still a sidegrade at best.
