Can A Vendor Sell a PNY GPU as a Nvidia GPU and not tell you?

Bought a PC Friday and couldn't figure out why my GPU didn't look like the one it should be even though it says Geforce RTX on the side, it's suppose to be a 2070 Super and I guess it is?!? But its PNY not Nvidia.
Can vendors really do this?

PNY is the board maker/designer, GPU is made by Nvidia.

Still doesn't answer my question.

The "Board" isn't Nvidia's design.

My Motherboard doesn't look like what it says it is either, guessing its PNY too?

As Levent said PNY are an Nvidia card maker, Nvidia just provide the GPU chip. PNY are fine and your card will be fine if not better than an Nvidia founders.

Nvidia sells GPUs as well as graphics cards. PNY does not make motherboards since late 2000s. FYI there is a distinct difference between a graphics card and a gpu.

Mislabeling is a thing. PNY doesn't make motherboards. You can get info about hardware with many tools like HWiNFO.

I should add that at this point you haven't said if card was marketed to be Founders Edition which is directly from Nvidia (or has no other branding) or marketed as just Nvidia GPU. In which case it could be any of dozen different brands making Nvidia GPUs.
