Would my CPU bottle neck 2070 super for gaming?

DweJiBah

My build:

I was wondering if my Ryzen 7 2700x would bottle-neck my GPU. I had a 3700x, but saw that the Ryzen 7 2700x was on sale and heard good stuff about it so I want to switch to it. Would I need to pick a lower GPU so that my CPU won't bottle-neck? Or would it be fine? I play on 1080p monitor. Thank you in advance!

meaning it depends how much cpu and gpu whatever app or game you run uses at the given time. if it doesn't use much cpu power then the gpu isn't going to be bottle necked

Neither the 2700x or 3700x should bottleneck a 2070 Super.

The 2700X might for 1080p144hz then again it really depends on the game and settings, all in all it's balanced enough to be alright.

The 3700X is a much better cpu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The 2700X won't bottleneck your GPU, but the 3700X is a better investment. Also what are your doing on your computer and what do you run your games at? A lot of the other parts suggest you do some heavier workload type things. Also just in general the extra cooler you added on is not much better than the stock one that comes with both those CPUs
