Discrete AMP/DAC combo for AKG K7XX’s

Can anyone recommend a good discrete combo unit that will sufficiently drive my akg’s.

Terribly, I use a schiit fulla 2 but it struggles to drive them loud.  Also there is a possibility I'll be getting some HD600's soon so my upgrade would preferabely accomodate them.

What's your budget . Like right now I just want to recc a fiio k5 pro initially for a combo unit and it should be more than enough as I know people who use it with a 600 ohm 880

Only at about 60% and its plenty loud and has no distortion.

@Scottland567 I'd encourage you to try SMSL SP100 + M100.

 

Edit: 5s later I realized you had bought a K5 Pro already. That's another sound choice.

Wow, that Fiio K5 Pro unit does look good, seems DSD capable DAC combos are fast becoming commonplace these days. Though, admittedly, DSD files are huge and not widely used by most. I have two DSD capable DAC combos (OPPO HA-1, iFi iDSD Micro Black Label) and a Gustard stack (seldom use). 'Grats on the Fiio purchase, a solid choice from the looks of it....
