Your GPU is fine for 1080p gaming I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly... In the newer games, the drops are pretty visible, even in the menu.
Posted January 8, 2020 Upgrade to the 3600X. It'll stomp the crap out of that 4690K.
Posted January 8, 2020 Yes - The 3600x will take it's lunch, make it watch while it eats and then beat it with the empty lunch bag. The 3600 itself would do the same with less wattage used, the x variant being a 95W chip, the non-x variant being a 65W chip. Probably just need to reinstall windows or replace your hard drive/SSD, very hard to kill a CPU/RAM>Motherboard but a 3600 is better for 144hz gaming what's your budget/country? If it's not much more expensive look for a 3200mhz CL16, or 3600mhz CL16 kit and just make sure the board has the latest bios, or is an MSI MAX board, or some MSI B450 boards have USB bios flashing. and also make sure it has a 4 phase VRM with a decent heatsink. As a motherboard, I think i'll go with Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro. The difference it's atleast 20$ for 3200mhz.
 Probably just keep the RAM then, you can always try overclocking it that board is alright, but you might need a way to update the bios for Ryzen 3000, AMD has boot kits, or a local PC shop might have a spare CPU lying around Here's how Ryzen 3000 scales with memory I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...
