New Build

Hi everyone! so i´m currently searching components for my new gaming/editing/studying/opening10000tabsonchrome pc, the thing is , with so many options for stuff like ram, ssd, etc. im kinda lost..... i somehow managed to build a rig after watching like a thousand top picks for xxxx. So i would love to hear your recommendations/advices, especially since i want this to be a "future proof" pc . Im gonna use it mostly for gaming, graphic design and video editing

Im gonna write the why of every choice i made regarding each component, feel free to comletely destroy those if neccesary

CPU: I7 9700 - im not sure wheter i should go for a K or non K version, i´ve never overclocked in my life and i hate high temperatures, but if i can maybe overclock a bit without too much temp increase then maybe i should go for k?

GPU: 1080 Ti Asus Strix - My current graphics card, planning to go for a 2080 ti from the same brand in a future

MOTHERBOARD: Gygabyte Aorus z390 Ultra - not much here, i choose it based on the other components

RAM: Corsair Dominator RGB 3200 Cl16 or Corsair Dominator RGB 3600 CL18 - Where i live this two are at the same price as the g skill z and some others, so they are not expensive, however, i dont know wich one to choose.....

STORAGE: Samsung 860 EVO AND WD Black SN750 NVMe - im planning on using the western digital to gaming and the samsung for the rest of the activities

POWER SUPPLY: EVGA G2 850/ G3 1000/ GQ1000 OR Thermaltake Tp Grand 850 - all 4 are 80 plus gold, the thermaltheke one is also modular(same as some evga) but the price difference is frickin big, although this is the only component in wich i dont care how much do i need to spend, as long as i get something very good. I need a minimum of 850(right now i dont need them, but who knows in 2 years?)

CPU FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 - its price makes it a great choice(when compared with something like the Noctua NH-D15, the later costing almost triple)

CASE: I dont know this one, im still chosing, not many Full Tower options to choose from(again, where i live) maybe i could go for a nzxt h710i, but i kinda want a full tower, it just feels better leaving more room for each component, also more fans and such...

So that´s basically it, hoping to see what do you think of it!

sounds like editing and doing others simultaneously. 3700X B450 TOmahawk or X570 ( pricy). 850W is overkill . 650W TXM corsair is enough.

  Spec: Macbook Air 2017

ProcessorPU: ii5 (I5-5350U |

| RAM: 8GB LPDDR3 |

| Storage: 128GB SSD

 | GPU: Intel HD 6000 |

| Audio: JBL 450BT Wireless Headset |

build looks decent. both ssd's are overpriced, would consider lesser known brands.

the psu you chose are pretty bad. I'd consider a corsair rm or rmx, a bequiet straight power or bitfenix formula. even with 2x2080ti you don't need 800W. i would go for max 650 for 9700k+1080ti or 2080ti.

would you consider an alternative amd build?

Ryzen R5 3600 perhaps for gaming, 3700x if doing work and/or streaming.

MSI B450 MAX motherboard (any of them).

Probably overpriced, get some 3600 CL16 w/e the brand.

Crucial MX500 and/or HP 920EX. Similar performance for less.

Yeah but it costs 3 times more because it's 3 times better. Get the eSports 34 duo, Scythe Fuma 2 etc...

Coolermaster H500P mesh, H500M, Meshify S2, P400A, many choices for better airflow.

While technically the i7 9700 beats the ryzen 3700x in gaming, the results are extremeley close in most titles. I would personally go for a 3700x because the motherboards can be a lot cheaper. Also the ryzen beats the i7 in almost everything non gaming because of the extra threads.

Well actually that was my idea in a very long future, having a SLI, but youre saying that 650 has room enough for everything? and no, i dont really like amd, never had one, but i prefer to stick with intel, and yeah the psu is killing me, dont know what to do (as for brands)

mmmmmm.... well i was hoping to build intel, not amd, altought it is more reasonable to go for amd, what about some people getting problems in amd builds on some games, because i have an intel i7(old one) and it has never been a problem, it works perfectly

sli is not really used anymore. most games aren't optimised for it. 550w is enough if you don't go sli. if you really want to go sli, then 850 would be needed.

as @Plouffe said, The G2 or Phanteks AMP 550W, corsair RMx 550W, TXm 550W, Bitfenix Formula/Whisper M 550W or bequiet straight power 550w, whichever is cheaper.

that hasn't been a problem for many yeas. ryzen 2000 and 3000 series are solid. they gpu drivers are a bit buggy, but we're talking cpus here

Thank you for the help! here the prices are pretty much the same in dollars(a little bit more expensive) , if i were to go for the AMD build, im seeing the ryzen 7 3800x is just 50 dollars more expensive than the 3700, is there a significant difference beetween them? also, is amd long-term say.... resistant? my intel`s processors are + 4 years and they run just like new, with no problems in drivers, renderization(talking about doing what they can, not how much can they make) etc.

3800x is just an OCed 3700x if im not mistaken. Silicone in microprocessors don't really degrade a noticeable amount up till about 10 years if im not mistaken. A friend of mine is currently running my old Ryzen 1700x which i bought off another friend who got it back in early 2017. Still running like a charm.
