it's trying to find an installer file that you don't have

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

not sure but it could be possible.

Try to search the name of the file, something like, "XXXX.SYS file missing amd gpu driver"

These shouldnt be GPU drivers though. I'm using an Nvidia graphics card. And none of the websites when i search oem36.inf not found look very helpful.

3700x. I did try installing the chipset drivers on my motherboards website first though, it kept installing adrenalin or something there. Using an Asus Prime pro x470-board and it didn't really look similar to AMD's one.

The ones here specifically under chipset.

Your're not gonna like this, i had a very similar issue with the chipset driver coming from 1st gen to Zen II and after exhausting every possible fix i had to re-install windows to solve the problem.

Well heres the thing, i just installed the motherboard chipset ones, let it complete then restart. Now i just installed AMD's newer ones and it went through without a hitch... Maybe its because i uninstalled The Asus chipset ones first? I dunno. Where under device manager > System devices do i check if the chipset is updated?

so downloading the chipset driver from the link you provided didn't help/do anything?

because adrenaline just seems like a typical *Get 30 fps more with THIS SECRET trick*

but if your cpu works properly right now then you can probably just keep going like normal

i belive that chipset update is only nessecary if you got a board that was am4 compatible with bios flash.

Yeah well unfortunately OBS has been giving me issues. Latest BIOS update for that motherboard helped a bit but the issue has returned again for some reason so on their suggestion decided to update chipset drivers. I mean it works but im wondering if i can uninstall AMD software which is in my programs and features now. AMD_chipset drivers seems to be its own installation now.

The drivers i download for my chipset on the motherboard manufacturer site. For some reason it's telling me it installs AMD radeon software like a GPU sort of the Adrenalin software but there is no extra program that comes up except in my control panel. If i uninstall that app that then try to update the chipset drivers from AMD's website instead i get those 2 errors i linked as a screenshot. However if i leave that software alone it goes through fine and im wracking my head as to bloody why it's doing this.
