My keycap is the wrong "switch"

So I have the razer destiny 2 keyboard and I'm trying to put on a keycap that I found online, popping the ESC key off, I realize that the destiny 2 keyboard uses a "RAZER MECHA-MEMBRANE"

 

So what do I do about this? Am I screwed?

There isn't some type of place holder thing to make this fit?

The keycaps you ordered are 'Cherry MX'-style keycaps, rather standard in the mechanical keyboard business.

You have a non mechanical keyboard, a membrane board (with a fancy marketing terms attached to it), which does not support new keycaps

you could try contacting razer about it (no idea how good their service is though)

Pop the scroll lock key cap and put it on the escape keycap instead..... unless you use scroll lock often, perhaps a different seldom used keycap instead??

That's a real bummer though, because those keycap (IMO) do look super pretty:

From my understanding, reading this post, OP probably wanted to change all the keycaps on their board to the clear keycaps.

But if the esc. keycap is broken, that is indeed what I would suggest too (or maybe even Pause Break, since Scroll Lock does have some functionality outside of macros )

Gotcha. Good point......

I had read it as "A keycap" and "am I screwed?", so immediately I assumed lost the esc key or damaged in some way lol. Not sure.
