vazful

Hello guys, another noob topic/question. So i have this mobo https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110M-HDV R3.0/index.asp and i was wondering if its a good mobo for a "good" build, i mean something that will include at best a Core i7 and a GTX 1660.
I have read the specifications and i guess i understand some obvious stuff?.. but since i am a fucking noob i wanted to know your opinion on it. Is it ok to use it with such build?

/any feedback is welcomed. Thank you!

It's micro ATX, so not the best for expandability. Unless you're constrained in terms of space, I would use a full size board. Should usually be cheaper, too.

The board is also older, meaning it will only support 6th and 7th gen Intel CPUs out of the box and 8th gen with a bios update. Current is 9th gen, with 10th gen incoming.

Afaik Asrock is also not the best in terms of quality.

~edit: I misread, ir doesn't support 8th gen.

Use PCPartPicker.com to find compatibility.

I'd say no. It's a older board that only supports LGA1151-v1, not v2. The VRMs are pretty terrible too.

Go over to the New Builds & Planning subsection, and you can post your budget, requirements, and anything you'd like, and someone will help you! They'll make sure everything is compatible and find deals for you.

It will not support a 8th gen CPU, only 6th and 7th.

Asrock isn't a bad brand by any means, it's a entry level H110 board but will be just fine for a budget build.  You won't be able to overclock with it but I would still consider getting a (k) series i7 just for the higher clock speed if it isn't too much more than it's locked counterpart.

Yes, I corrected my post already. I misread the small print on their page.
