Fan not compatible with fan board?

lerodemmy

I bought a Corsair RGB fan to replace one of my old fans.  It seems I didn’t do my homework, as the fan appears not to be compatible with my fan board.

The fan board has three-pin connectors, but the fan is designed for a four-pin connection.

Is there an easy, inexpensive way around this?

You need to move another connectors around a bit to get it fit. What motherboard do you have? Might be better to get just Y-splitter for CPU header and run it off there. Then you get PWM controls too.
