I would change the PSU for a TX550M and change the GPU for either:

- a 2060 Super for a bit more, if you want to stay Nvidia

or

- a 5700XT

Looks good to me otherwise.

pick up a windows liscence as a grey key or just from your prefered vendor. this will be just about as good as it gets.

Nice information! Actually thought it was also a Phison E12, but I totally agree, then your suggestion is the best.

This looks great, Thanks to everyone who replied with help super quick. Only question is with the B450, will I need to update the bios for the r5? Only been researching a few days and I've noticed a ton of people recommending the tomahawk max due to not needing to flash the bios?

I'm a noob, so chances are I'm 10% correct haha.

I believe I read about the cxm being bad on the forum in someone else's build.

Not sure what E12 is  or which power supply would be better to replace the cxm with. Just a standard 550-600W bronze 80+?

I have no preference over gpu's. Just kind of Frankenstein'd parts from different peoples builds/videos with my very limited knowledge.

B450m AC from ASrock and MAX boards from MSI do not need a Bios update.

this is more or less complete with the fans i linked earlier as a optional adition that will help with airflow.

the monitor is also really good as an IPS panel for good colors and decent speed. and good 350 nit brightness to make the colors it make more vibrant.

Yea that's correct. @GoldenLag is the PSU king of LTT forums - E12 is the SSD controller - Buy this instead as golden suggested - Silicon Power A80 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

Actually consider buying GoldenLags build as it's pretty solid!

Thanks to you both, is there anything I could possibly need? Or would I be able to just buy all the parts, build it and be on my way, take for granted I don't yardsale anything along the build lol

i'd buy a 5 pack of arctic 120mm pwm fan to go with the fan already included with the case. fit 3 on the front as intake, and the one at the back and 2 on top as exhaust.

I'd go with the ram I suggested. for $25 more, which is 2% of the cost of the build, you might get 5% more fps.

If you want to overclock in the future, or want a more silent system, you might want to go for a cpu cooler such as the bequiet dark rock pro 4.

" motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled"

is this something I need to worry about? I have absolutely no clue what this means aside from what m.2 and sata generally are.

I was planning on going with the ripjaw ram that was suggested, as this is my first build and I know very little about what I'm doing.

but i agree with him nonetheless here, as usual

and the cx is better because it uses a Half Bridge Resonant LLC, compared to CXM's double forward

which is for what you should know just better and less likely to whine

Grab the fanpack and maybe get a fanhub. Tho iirc it should have enough fanheaders to cover most.

Maybe an HDD down the lines, tho 1TB lasts quite some time.

Not something to worry about.

That goes for the chipset M.2 iirc. Not the CPU lanes.

If im wrong its such a minor change anyways. There is plenty of Sata even without the 2 Sata ports.

unless you're planning on having 5 HDDs, you're fine.

the 5 arctic fans i recommended can be daisy chained, so no need for a fanhub.

Alright, going with this. Just switching out the ram for the suggested ripjaw 3600, and got the extra 5 fans. Is there anything else that I'll need before I checkout?

at 27in, 1080p is not very crisp. I'd go with a 24in monitor at 1080p or 27in at 1440p
