My computer won't boot, even with new parts...

My PC was having issues and would not fan spin one day, so I ordered a new mobo...it would now fan spin, but for 1/2 a second. I then replaced my power supply and, still 1/2 a second of fan spin and power supply fan spin, but no boot. It may have something to do with my cpu seating, but I have repeated it multiple times.

 

SPECS:

CPU: i5 7600k

RAM: Vengeance 2x 8

MOBO: GIGABYTE B365M DS3H

PSU: GameMax

These are incompatible with each other. Kaby Lake requires a 100 or 200 series chipset.

sounds like possibly dead ram.. try booting with 1 stick of ram or known working ram from another system.

 

also just realised, b365 board and 7000 series dont go together. i believe you need a b360. don't ask why intel makes 4 generations of CPUs with the same socket but completely incompatible chipsets.

 

sidenote: what on earth is a gamemax power supply. please get one from a reputable brand like corsair/evga/seasonic/fsp

You've replaced your PSU with this ? What was previous one i wonder. Replace it too please. Get smth good, don't cheap out on the PSU people.

But you're having this issue because this motherboard doesn't work with this CPU, it needs 1xx\2xx series chipset and motherboard needs 8\9-series CPU. Say thanks to Intel.

You bought the wrong motherboard,it will never work with this motherboard.

I've just read this while watching a Louis Rossman vid .... quite awesome.

And my bet is on a Board and CPU incompatibility

So what would you say would work for low budget? Someone said b360 but I have no clue...
