haha it has a purpose, not just for show.

 

I use a pair of LG 27UL500-W monitors, one of their more budget friendly 4k color calibrated monitors.

i play games on the predator one when using my pc and use the 2nd monitor for netflix, stan, youtube, disney plus, discord, Obs or the xbox app depending on the situation and what my needs are at the time, the 2nd monitor only gets games run on it from a nintendo switch or the xbox one i have

 

this is my complicated mess lol, the ps4 had issues when i added it to the splitter that is why its connected to my tv directly, kinda want to add an elgato capture card between the switch and the splitter which i might do if money permits on boxing day.

the 15m hdmi cable is due to the tv being on the other side of the room at the end of my bed

also excuse the mess in my room, and dont judge my weeb behaviour (i love the eevee pokemon, same as mimikyu lol)

nice thats a very detailed mspaint drawing. meanwhile my tv is right beside my triple monitors so my xbox and secondary pc are just plugged in there. with my main beast plugged into the triple monitor setup. (don't really want to take a pic now cos i just had to move both pcs to my table so it gets the full blast of AC while its gonna render my 3d animations for the next 30 hours.

ooof thats a long render time lol, thanks took me so long to do the drawing in paint, i did screw it up a few times lol.how warm does it get while rendering?

and its only a 15sec 3d animation split onto 2 PCs T-T. my room temp atm is around 20C. Ryzen 7 2700X system is sitting at a chilly 64C with a 240mm rad cooling it. Main rig with an i9-9900k is sitting at a toasty 87C with a 360mm rad cooling it. Both using Arnold Render in Autodesk Maya.

wouldnt mind seeing the render when its done, was going to use maya about a year ago but have never gotten around to doing it, is it easy or difficult? (im quite good at using revit and inventor)

may send a part of it here when its done if i remember XD. its crunch time for my assignments and that render tied up both my rigs so i guess its time to chill for a day before going all out again. Difficulty wise i find it ok. not super easy, not super hard. the basics are really easy, but the more advanced stuff makes your mind go boom

just an update, my hdmi splitter finally decided to destroy itself after like its year of life T-T, that means its back to watching shows on my tv from my playstation until i get another (probably around boxing day as i have a lot of christmas presents still to buy)
