Hey guys , so I'm about to buy my pc part from amazon and i wanted to ask 3 questions.

Amd or Intel ? ( since the new thread ripper and i9 10..xe just came out, I'm not sure which would be better in the long term )

What mother board I should get for amd thats under  £100

What amd cpu would you recommend at £140

What are you planning on doing with the system?

For ryzen 7 asus rog strix b450-f (or whit ryzen 5 3600 since it supports that out the box).

Intels 10th gen was not good. Third gen thread ripper bote it in games (YES in GAMES! WTF intel) and in heavy multitasking.

But you should get a pc with.

ryzen 7 2700

strix b450-f (or with pc case without glass window msi tomahawk b450, since strix one has rgb)

16gb of 3200mhz cl16 ram

atleast 1660 super or radeon 5700

ssd for primary games and windows (at least 250gb)

HDD for large files and not so primary games. (1tb would be good)

Pc case with good airflow. Something like NZXT h510

no it doesnt. doesnt even have biosflashback to update iirc.

strix b450-f

usually not close to 100 country equivelent in price and its VRM is rather underwhealming, dont suggest using it unless its rather cheap or priced well compared to other offerings.

there wasnt anything perticularly bad about it. its priced rather well in fact.

Your parts list is set for the United States so it's set for US retailers and USD as the currency. On PCpartpicker you have to go up to the top left of the page and select your country, a majority of the parts you have listed aren't available or are sold out at most UK retailers and the price will be different from the US prices. Change the country on PCpartpicker then pick out your components.

Adjusted it a bit for you. Swapped the motherboard to one that has WiFi as I noticed you added a PCIE wireless card. The motherboards built in WiFi will be better and getting a board with it built in is cheaper than that board without it and an adapter. I also upped your memory from 3000mhz to 3200mhz as well as added an SSD because you absolutely need one, any new computer should have an SSD in it, whether is a gaming rig or workstation it 100% has to have an SSD. I also switched out the horrendous NZXT case for something with better Airflow. I personally don't recommend NZXT cases from the H line like the H500 or H700 because they have terrible airflow and are really not at all what they are hyped up to be, I had the H500 and that thing is pretty much a component oven, the H700 isn't as bad but still meh, the h510 and h710 are a bit better but still suffer from sub-par thermals as they're essentially still the same case but with added fans and tempered glass instead of metal for the front. So basically for £20 more you get built in WiFi and faster memory, a 500GB SSD, and a high airflow case.
