Gaming setup for a friend (ryzen)

My friend currently planning build ryzen setup but I don't have the enough knowledge on which parts is the best for him I currently have intel as my personal computer. 

 

Currently his budget is max 1100$ for monitor, PSU, GPU, case, Ram and motherboard and other stuff nedded(keyboard and mouse already have) . His main purpose is for gaming only.

Why non Zen 2 compatible motherboard for 90$ when there's MSI MAX for 10$ more or mATX ASRock Pro 4 for 55$ if you're willing to update UEFI manually ?

Samsung 500GB SSD for the price of 1TB one ?

with a bit more you could grab a 1440p monitor, but you could do this with that 1080p as well to come out cheaper

Thanks guys. I'll ask my friend which budget range is acceptable for him if its ok for him to add more and also will ask the stores here if the parts are available. Thanks
