What do you need the PC for, what's your monitor resolution/refresh rate? Do you already own said monitor?

you don't need a key to install windows, you can install it for free, otherwise you can get a key for $5 on ebay that will work just fine.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

The only thing I was worried about the asus tuf gaming motherboard was that it doesn't allow for bios flashback and also is the 850w power supply too much?

a few things to note,  x series motherboards are not needed unless you plan to run SLI.

do you really want to spend that much on a Cooler? a decent $25 cooler will do a lot,

your windows key is pretty expensive. just get one for a few bucks from ebay

850w is plenty

also your startup disk doesnt need to be 1tb,  if all your games and files are going on the HDD, no need to get 1tb.  most games are around 40-100 gb.  im not sure how big your library is, but i only play a few on the reg.

Ryzen 5 -5600x

ASUS x570

EVGA 3080 XC3

4x8gb 3600 mhz XPG

like 1080p 144hz? Because you can easily fit an ultrawide 100hz monitor into that budget

Just got the best value parts everywhere basically.

The RAM you had was only CL18

that 6TB drive just happens to be really cheap right now

You can get the monoprice Zero G for $299 right now as well

Really shouldn't need to worry about BIOS flashing, the VRM should be better on the ASUS board

I will not be running SLI but since im running m.2 drive I want to use pcie 4.0 so that reasons for x570 motherboards and also I already bought the CPU since due the great deal that it its at and yea I was looking into buying a windows key. Regarding the 1tb boot drive I have a great wide steam library and would opt to put some of the games I play more often on the ssd not all but since games these days are getting bigger it doesn't hurt to get 1tb.

no need for bios flashback since X570 supports 3rd gen CPUs natively

850w isn't too much, 750w will do for 3950X + 2080ti so it's good for plenty of upgrades

The 2070 super is only about 5-10% faster than the 5700 XT. Really start to lose performance per dollar going past the $400 mark.

Though with the other savings you could jump up to a 2080 super even.
