A few question:

How big is your monitor? Assuming you are planning on mounting speaker on the backside (behind) the monitor (maybe im mistaken)

What is your budget?

What should they do?

"Where did they come from?

Where did they go?

Where did you come from?

Eaten Joe"

if you arent sure what you want then it does not matter in terms of quality. You need something thats noisy on the cheap and would not take up much space...somewhere.

Z533

Z333

Z337

All 99.99$. Should make decent noise and not be too big to fit. You can go for the cheaper options anytime

A list of 2.1 speaker manufacturers that are somewhat decent:

Creative labs

Edifer

Microlab

Logitech

Browse for measurements and price at your local PC parts store for stock and choose what you like. Most 30-60$ range is the same performance (making noise), 60-100$ takes some know-how to select and 100$+...well you are better off with proper headphones really.

Here’s what I tried over the years:

- Logitech z200: just fine but the bass was a little muddy and they sounded muffled.

- Bose Companion 2: fixed everything wrong with the z200 at 4 times the price. But it still vaguely sounded like a Z200.
- Creative T200: I had those when I was very young. I remember them being great. But it’s been too long.

@PriitMCall me crazy, but I would take the Bose Companion 2 over any headphone, no matter the price. Don’t get me wrong, they sound average. But the comfort of not having earmuffs clamped to your head is unmatched. And you get better stereo separation from speakers too. And no wires!

why not both? but in all honesty I would pick the companions 2 over any of those logitechs but I would rather grab a pair of cheap edifiers

Well then call me a lunatic, because I think the exact same thing. Apart from competitive shooters and porn, I prefer regular speakers to headphones.

Edifier R1280T would be good, but they are not small.

First post on the forums. And sorry, not really contributing to the topic.

But I have those speakers for my PC and OMG are they good. Truly great sound.

Only downside would be there's no headphone jack.

Logitech it is ?. They make good enough’ speakers for very cheap. I was content with the Logitech z200.

Bro, I am using Logitech Z623 and this fk speaker shake my room and almost shatter one of my windows glasses at 50% volume and bass.
