Is the P30 Pro still worth the buy?

I'm looking to replace my J4 Plus with a P30 Pro that costs around 600 euros, is it still worth it considering that Huawei was banned from using Google products? I know that current devices will probably not be affected, but I'm looking to keep this phone for at least 2 years and it would be nice to get future Android updates.

Huawei keeps getting limited extensions that theoretically allow updates, but I wouldn't bother unless the company gets a permanent license to maintain its Android phones.  I wouldn't want to risk having a phone that's left forever vulnerable to malware (or unable to receive major feature updates) because of a trade squabble.

 

The kicker is that it's otherwise a fine device -- it's just that the politics make it a tough sell.
