3x120 and 2x140 is not all that different, still up to individual fan performance. 120mm fans are usually more widely available though

140mm is my recommendation. Way quieter, move more air with less rpm. I use Corsair ML140 fans and love them. In that case I would do 2x140mm up front, and 2x140mm up top. Would be super quiet. That is how my system is set up, but I am pulling through a 280mm radiator up front.

I'd probably just go for the 2x 140mm, as they have roughly the same amount of airflow, so you don't have to deal with extra headers. Might be a bit quieter too, depending on the fan.

Well, if you like blings and rgb, 3x 120mm rgb fans is the answer (using 2x 140mm fan may leave a dark space). But if you don't mind the RGB, 2x 140mm it is.

yeah but how's that really working considering the case has 3 circles in front already set for the 3 fans? and i do not have the rgb version of the case, neither intending rgb fans

According to the official page, it seems that you have to mount the 140mm fan behind the front plate.

Using Noctua as a bench 3 120s are about 10%(20% with the new gen 120s but those aren't relevant to the comparison) more airflow than 2 140s. But that's in a completely unrestricted situation. So figure closer to 20-30% given the case mesh. However, 3 120s will also give you a much more consistent airflow pattern throughout the case which should make GPU temps better. Since you have to buy new fans, I'd recommend the Pure Wings 2.

that's interesting but i already went for 2 arctic AC p14 140mm , they were around 6 euro each and they are rated for 72.8 CFM,i think they are good value for the money. on the roof i don't think i will place any fans
