Hey Linus Tech Tips,

I'm thinking about playing the Deus Ex series.  Would I want to start on the first one and then play human revolution in order to grasp the story or should I jump to human revolution?  What do you guys think?

There's graphical mods for both SS1 and SS2 as well as Deus Ex.  Great games though.

Yes you should definitely start. I haven't played Human Revolution but apparently its alright

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Skip Invisible War, it's absolutely terrible. But since the first Deus Ex is amazing and you should definetly play it, why not in the right order, eh?

But if I remember rightly HR takes place before the first one, so I honestly don't know what the right order would be.

Oh god don't get me started on Invisible War, I was just starting to forget that monstrosity existed.

Only play the first. The other 2 are terrible and were huge let downs for me personally , try them anyways. Number 1 was just so good and replaying it with hi res texture packs is win win.
