As far as I know the software can only change the calibration of the display. To check your calibration, you need actual hardware to measure the colours and related things.

You will need a physical device that 'looks' at your monitor, like the SpyderX devices, made by datacolor.

You can use the following site to eye ball it but you should buy or rent a cheap calibration device like those from X-Rite and Datacolor ($100-$200), which work on all displays, to get a proper calibration.
