Ive never played a Red so its a ll new to me. The new one looks beautiful, price is meh, and the bugs of been reading about (few driver updates make fix that)
I play on a 4790K, 16GB, 1070 G1, and a few SSd,s

Will it still look nice with settings turned down?

What are the Pros and Cons of this game? (except being on Epic)

Demanding Game - but if you TUNE settings for a VeryHighQuality radius around the player, and let the details fall off over distance it'll run fine without you thinking its the next "Can it run Crysis"

Really should Start here, setting values vs Console and how your mindset carries forward with this information in the video and setting variables accordingly.. You'd maybe not expect Xbox1X to have a lower than low setting... the game scales RATHER WELL, for those not needing their preset to say Ultra so they can tell their friends such things.... you can run it on way lesser hardware, but sacrifices must be made.

Best bit, SO many options, can finetune some of it really well.

Then maybe here...

Similar to....

Part1

Part2

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Lets put it this way.. I have a 2080ti and I cant run it on ultra at 1440p.. gives me FPS in the 30s. Have to turn everything down to high to get FPS in the 65-80. You can buy it directly from Rockstar or wait until December when it will be available on Steam.

That said, This is also my first Red Dead game as well. The gameplay if amazing. Has an amazing story, great characters and character development throughout the story. It is very very long story, but worth every second of it so far. That said, I do have a TON of problems with it crashing even to this day. I am on the latest Nvidia drivers, 441.20 and latest BIOS for my board as well that includes the 1.0.0.4b agesa update. I have only played the story mode so far though so it could be different in the online world since thats server based and not local client as much.

not RDR2 IMO. Its a huge quality drop off from high to low. I tried it the other day and couldnt stand it after about 10 minutes and switched back just to test that.

In this case, it would be the GPU because the game is just that demanding.

1. Currently buggy, sometimes refuses to launch and could crash during gameplay

2. Extremely demanding, I'm thinking about running 720p instead with my laptop 1060

GPU more so than CPU. CPU usage is pretty reasonable for an open world AAA game, we've seen worse (Assassin's Creed Origins/Odyssey)

I would say no.. your GPU majority of the time is only in the 70-80% utilization, which is usually indicative of a CPU bottleneck, but not always.

Gamers Nexus got more than 60 FPS on the 2600K so you should have no problem.
