name: f_00010e

virus name: HEUR:Trojan-PSW.Script.Generic

Location: C:\Users\keesw\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\f_00010e

ive got absolutely no idea how it got there and for as far as i know i didnt install anything bad, but like is there anythign i can do or am i essentially f*cked?

Well, your antivirus should automatically remove it or at least give you an option to do so.

If you can't get rid of it, reinstall Windows.

Have you told your Anti-Virus to take any action?

I'd check for extensions in Chrome that you don't recognise and clear Chrome's cache. (and obv delete/quarantine the virus in question)

im guessing its a crappy av and a lot of them dont do adware as it looks like an adware file so have recommended adwcleaner.

But yea if that doesnt rid it do as this guy says reinstall windows.

Answering from generic antivirus point of view idk what that file is

https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

run that

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

if you dont have an antivirus that has a free trial and is solid.

I use malwarebytes and zonealarm

Well.. somehow you got a Trojan on your PC. Not good. Some keep downloading other stuff like spyware, keylogger etc (sometimes not all).

Tell your antivirus to ‘clean’ - remove it.
