What Antivirus (if any) should I install?

I'm building a new PC and was wondering if I need to install an antivirus in 2019. I used Avast on my old desktop and it did seem to have quite a performance hit. I'm currently using Bitdefender Free on my laptop and it's running smoothly. But is Windows Defender enough in 2019?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I would say it's not necessary anymore. Windows Defender does a good enough job as is. I personally will stick with Avast Internet Security, but that's because I often visit sketchy sites and click sketchy links. Just use your head and you'll be good.

So if you use torrent clients would y ou need a better antivirus?
