No clue but I have it too & it sucks. Doesn't seen dependant on the GPU, as I've used the same card in mine & wife's PC, each needing different driver.

Sadly, best action seems to be getting GeForce Experience & letting it install the proper driver. :(

What's thw differences between this 2 choice?

DCH are OEM only solutions and Windows Update certified drivers, you should always avoid these if you're using an aftermarket dedicated GPU.

When you DDU in Safe Mode to wipe out everything you have to ensure you already downloaded the latest standard drivers so you can install them after the reboot without being connected to the internet, otherwise Windows Update will force DCH OEM drivers which are notorious for being awful (not to mention they force you to download nVidia control panel from Windows Store lol).

Standard are the normal drivers you should always use unless you use a proprietary OEM solution like prebuilds, all in ones and alike.

Does it work? Because installing the standard driver didn't worked just after win installation, but probably win10 done some sh** just during the installation to force my os to install this version.

So the correct step are:

Download standard driver

Uninstall nvidia panel downloaded from windows store

Disconnect the internet cable

Ddu on safe mode

Than install the standard version

What if at this point the installation give me the same error? Do windows write i have to install the DCH version somewere?

I have always managed to install the driver just fine doing these steps, and yes I also have had Windows Update shoving down my throat the DCH in the past.

I think you'll be fine if you do all those steps but what GPU and what Windows version are you currently on?

In the options for DDU you can tell it to stop windows from downloading DCH drivers thru windows update. Now I'm not sure if this works for everyone considering windows 10 can be annoying like that. But, it works for me. Ignore the red box. Under advanced options.

I've been using dch for about 2 years without issue. I've never had to download control panel from the windows store. Do you have examples of the 4xx drivers being awful?

I've tried this & my system refuses to even complete the driver install before telling me to get the DCH version.

My wife's machine loads standard drivers fine when I tried my 2060 in it.

I don't have any OEM info setup on either machine. I just install Windows & run GPU drivers first before anything else, but mine will not complete.

Mine: ASRock z97 + i5 4690k + RTX 2060 - DCH

Hers: gigabyte z170 + i5 6500 + my RTX 2060 then back to her GTX 970 - standard works for both cards

Recent update: I had to fall back to my old FX 6300 + RTX 2060 and I'm still stuck on the DCH drivers with a fresh Windows install. The motherboard LAN isn't recognized after a fresh install so there's no connection there anyway.

My best friend has a Phenom II 1055T + GTX 970 (same as my wife's) that we both built together & he can run standard.

All the components for all three systems came from Newegg part by part. None of it was sold as OEM so it really has me confused how and why it does that with mine, especially across different hardware & Windows installed. (I'm even using a different SSD for my system install)
