this is very interesting, my though would have been a problem with your monitor, but since you can screenshot it, i am unsure

have you tried downloading new drivers for your gpu to see if that helps?

It doesn't look like a smudge mark up close though;

A far fetched theory - this could be a tiny ass window. It has a shadow and all that.

click on it and alt-f4 and see what happens

also run a malwarebytes scan lol

also reinstall gpu drivers

If I had one wish, I would ask for a big enough ass for the whole world to kiss

I concur.  It’s not impossible it’s a single pixel sized window from a piece of malware.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

What happens if you change resolution? Could be knackered gpu.

I’m putting this on my list of unique computer issues I’ve never seen before.

Do you have steam running by any chance? It may be some kind of UI artifact that’s not closing with the steam app. I’ve had lines of text from that new chat client persist even with the window minimized.

Lol steam can be weird sometimes. I remember when i saw the updater on a tiny window like this.
