I've been having input lag issues while playing CS:GO for a while now and my friend told me that it could be my DisplayPort cable causing input lag when I play CS:GO as that's what I've been using ever since I got the 144hz monitor as it came with it and he recommended me DVI-D, could this fix the problem?

Couldnt find a reviewer that tested this specific model for input latency, however if its anything like BenQs similar displays it should be around 4ms input latency. (not response time)

If ur noticing input lag then chances are its not the display, perhaps u have pre-rendered frames enabled and set to high, combined with vsync and triple buffering this could potentially cause some amount of lag.

Another possibility is wireless input devices, like the mouse and keyboard, they could be adding to the perceived input latency.

Its highly highly unlikely its the DP cable.

Try using DDU and reinstall ur display drivers, perhaps something is amiss there.

My pre-rendered frames are set to 1 vsync and triple buffering are off, and before posting this I tried DDU reinstalling my drivers didn't seem to help, no wireless devices all cables. I also cleaned my computer today and applied brand new thermal paste as I havent for a year and I've been thinking that was the problem because my gpu and cpu would reach to 80C/90C but I'm back to square one and no clue what to do.

Does the lag happen while playing solo local games ? or only when online? it could just be basic network lag.
