Help with Aspect ratio on Old game full screen (4:3)

Hello, I am trying to play Hitman 2 from 2002 and was wondering if any of you could help me out when it comes to screen resolution. In the game options I can choose 1280x1024 resolution, but the picture is displayed on a 1920x1080 screen. I was expecting black bars on the sides but it is stretched. (I have a Nvidia graphics card if that matters. And I have 2 monitors both 1080p)

A Screenshot taken by Steam overlay is 800x600 yet the picture filled my whole screen while playing. Should there not be black bars?

Is there a easy way to play with somewhat full screen but in the correct aspect ratio?

NVIDIA Control Panel -> Adjust Desktop Size and Position -> "No Scaling", Perform on GPU.
