4x8gb or 2x16gb for Intel performance

Welp, I have a 9900K with a Aorus Master Z390.  I want to feed it with 3200, 32GB of RAM. I find alot on the internet about taking 4x8 or 2x16 for overclocking ram with XMP or manual. But for now I am probably going to use the set XMP profile. I find alot saying the oppsite to which somebody should rather use: 2x16 less strain on ICM (Memory Controller), but then again overclocking RAM can be a problem because RAM has double memory on one memory dimm. The one or the other can slow the PC down, or not let you overclock right. So what is better? OR better said, makes more sense? Or doesn´t matter?? Filling up all slots looks better at least. Help would be great.

It'll be better to go with 2x16 even though it doesn't look as good. Its true, it does put more strain on the memory controller with more sticks.

From the looks of it the board doesn't support quad channel so I imagine 2x16 would be fine.

Chances are 4x8 and 2x16 are the same, but depends on exact modules. 8GB modules nowadays are single rank. 16GB modules are probably dual rank. So, per channel, the loading is the same whichever way you go.

Thank for the replys. I want to get G.Skill Trident Z 3200 with RGB 14 CL versions. The cheapest here in Germany would be getting the 2x16 for about 300,- Euro, BUUUT not so nice looking?

Then the 4x8 for about 370,- Euro, ooooor 2 of 2x8 for 340,- Euro(this last combination would be the option I want to go for) What do you guys think?
