No just no...

As @Princess Luna said paying 350€ for an outdated CPU is a very bad idea.

A decent B450 mobo cost about 120€ + R5 3600 230€

So you can get a better mobo and a MUCH better cpu for the same cost.

You can reuse your old ram (until you can upgrade later to faster ram like 3200/3600mhz)

The CPU cooler included is good enough

If you want to save a bit of money you can choose a R5 2600 for 150€ and you are still better than i7 7700.

Hi everyone,

I'm running at the moment i5 7700 non K with Liquid Cooling. In the last couple weeks I noticed small hangs while playing GTAV. Then I Pluged a second Monitor and started Task Manager to see how the CPU works, all the time 100% load. I did fresh install of the Windows, BIOS Update but no change still the same.

I don't know if upgrading the cpu to i7 7700 will solve some problems or is not worth it spendig 350€ for it.

P.S. I have to mention at Very High/Ultra settings in GTA.

350 euros to get HT on a dated CPU? LOL are you insane?

Ditch everything and get a Ryzen 5 3600 + B450 if you really need the upgrade.

it probably will solve them, tho spending 350€ on a 4c/8t CPU right now is pretty dumb atm. with it being an outdated plattform and a 4c/8t is comming from the same company for significantly cheaper in the near future. not to mention much better options like the r5 3600 being on the market
