low fps in just one game

serofin

im having problems running metal gear solid V on my gtx 1070 and i5 8600k. im getting 60 fps with frequent drops to the 30s and 40s making the game very jittery and laggy.

here is a photo of my cpu and gpu usage during the game. its important to note that this is only happening in this game. would be glad to any insight on how to solve this...IMG_20191021_172906.thumb.jpg.3e1deafed94c76ec8dbfc8bd5edd74fe.jpg

edit: i also tried updating my drivers

Check Windows power plan, make sure it's either in Balanced or High performance. This game locks to 60fps btw so don;t expect it to go higher.

Your CPU seems to be stuck at 800mhz, which it should not. Read the reply from Jurrunio for the most obvious fix.

Also curios, why is MEM at 0mb? By default thats VRAM of D.GPU#1, which simply can not be at 0mb..

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.

Amdahls law > multicore CPU.
