Copper Water Coolin

Hi

I intend my desk build to have visible copper lines and connectors into XSPC CPU & GPU coolers, i9 and 2080ti.

I know its gonna be hard but can it be done??

 

Any advise on online stores i can get the plumbing parts.

Well the world is plumbed with copper. So I’m sure you can do the same. 

 

You need to decide on how you ate gonna connect the pipe to the components. 

 

Aside from that, you can get the pluming literally anywhere. Your local hardware store will have plenty for a fair price.

Look up copper hardline PC builds on google images, plenty of people have done it before.

Yes.Connecting to the coolers and rads is what i concerned about..Standard sizes and stuff.

Will domestic piping and connectors fit onto pc components??

If you are buying specific sized piping that match current hardline compression fittings it will all match the same as glass or plastic will.

So as long as i get the outer diameter of the copper tubing the same as glass or plastic, the the connectors will be OK???

Id and od needs to be the same to use the same fittings as the glass.

You need to ensure the OD of the tubing is exactly the same, you cannot mix imperial and metric exact tubing and fittings. Most hardline based fittings are metric exact, for custom behind hardline copper tube you will need to source annealed copper tubing that you can straighten from a coil and bend as needed.

Jay is building a copper tubed rig currently. This vid shows u what fittings he is using.
