Asus x570 prime-pro, is it a good choice?

I'm trying to decide on what motherboard to pair with a Ryzen 3800x. The Asus x570 Prime Pro seems to be the right choice for me with the decent IO and the front type c header. My only concern is that there are not many reviews on the board. All the reviews I've read have express problem booting and the loud chip set fan. Has anyone here used this board? If so what are your thought.

I'm a Mac-boy switching to PC, so every bit helps. Thanks everyone in advance.

Prime Pro is made of the same stuff as the TUF for a noticeable price jump so I dont see why you'd buy that. Gigabyte's Aorus Pro also has a similar rear I/O layout as the Prime Pro, while the Aorus Elite board simply replaced a USB Type-C port for a Type-A (so no more Type-C back there)

It's fine, but you should probably just jump up to the TUF or Gigabyte Elite around $199

also you don't need the 3800X the 3700X has the same performance.

What's your total budget/country, what stuff are you buying, and what do you need the PC for?

Also what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

I was originally going for a 3700x but someone is selling a 3800x near me for the price of a 3700. I am a music producer but I also do 4k video and photo editing. I'm also looking to do some light PC gaming and VR. I'm using a LG 4k 60hz IPS Monitor. My budget is roughly 2000 Canadian Loonies.

Specs I'm shooting for.

Ryzen 3800x

X570 Mobo TBD

RTX 2070 Super

32gb Trident Z 3200 Speed (already have it, bought used)

Front and rear type C is a deal breaker for me. The Aorus Pro Wifi looks like a good buy but I do prefer the look of the Prime board.

An RX 5700/XT has like 80-90% of the 2070 super's performance at a lower price, though for some reason all of your aftermarket cards are super expensive.

Has it's upscaling to cheat out more fps as well by running at 70-80% of a game's native res.

The blower can be improved, +$100 for an XT with an after market cooler.
