What's the mixer for? Pretty sure you don't need something that big to hook up an XLR mic to your PC, but I'm not the audio guy so I can't make recommendations on what you do need. I am sure that that's an audio device though, it doesn't record gameplay.

As for the rest, what are you trying to do? From my reading of it, you want to play games on the Xbone X, but use the PC to record your gameplay and for voice comms (and maybe streaming?). What quality do you want to record at and do you have a setup or are you looking for reccomendations on one? What's your budget?

Also I don't know how you can use the mic on your PC but still hear the audio from your Xbox (if you use speakers your mic will pick up your game audio). Why wouldn't you just use your headset? Most solid ones have clear mics for comms.

the mixer is for the XLR mic, and yes that's basically exactly what I wanna do with it and I have the shure sm7b mic and the Yamaha MG10XU mixer and a  elgato 4k60 game capture card to record but I just don't know to set everything up to the mixer like my xbox and pc to the mixer and have everything running smoothly so I can and possible stream

I believe you can use OBS for this, there you can set up the elgato card so you can capture footage from the xbox but also record sound from your mic

Can you not connect the A40s to the PC? That would remove a good amount of headache.

Either way, you should be able to set your audio input and output devices in Windows to use the headphones of the A40s and the Shure mic. With the Xbox connected to the capture card (if you don't have a second monitor, there will be noticeable delay from what I've heard), the audio will be coming through the recording software if the audio is output with the HDMI signal. You can use the S/PDIF for the A40s, but I don't know if the Xbox will send audio over both HDMI and S/PDIF at the same time. It's been a minute since I had my Xbox plugged in after my A50s got swiped.

If you want to have everything run into the mixer, I don't think the Xbox has an analog audio port, and it doesn't look like the mixer has any digital inputs, so the first hurdle there is finding something that can convert the audio from the XBox's S/PDIF output.

And are you opposed to using, say, Discord for communication? You could then set up OBS to not record the communication (unless that is important to the recording/streaming) that way, versus not having the choice with it being in the Xbox App.

Wait, can you not just play all your games through the Xbox app?

STOP YELLING AND MORE PEOPLE MIGHT ANSWER

What are you trying to do here exactly? What is the point of feeding both audio sources in to one headset?

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

I had responded to your post in the Audio section yesterday. I'll ask here again: Can you not use the Xbox App to play your Xbox games on your PC? Pretty sure that was a thing, but I can't exactly check as I don't have my Xbox on hand at the moment.
