Asmedia ASM1061 port multiplier BSOD

AMSG

Hi Everyone,

after updating to Windows 10 1709 and higher my ASMEDIA ASM1061 that is plugged into a Esata Dock with 2 hard drives will always blue screen. (Using 3.2.3 drivers)

Does anyone know a fix for this. Currently I removed the drivers and I’m using Microsoft standard SATA controller drivers with only 1 hard drive as this driver doesn’t support port multiplier.

thanks in advance.

Hello!

Have you managed to fix your problem somehow?

I've encountered the same BSODs all over my win10 because of that update and unsupported port multiplier. It seems that problem is not chip itself, as I've read from this post https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/cc539277-78f8-4da3-9ff8-897fbd740f2d/asm1061-based-esata-cards-with-port-multiplier - looks like port multiplier makes mess here. As far as dock works in single mode - everything is just fine

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

still no fix. I believe either ASmedia needs to update their drivers for support on this.

It's very unfortunate because having the port mulitplier really helps.
