Merch Design Idea: LTT "British Columbia"

Hi guys,

Since LMG is located in BC, I've had the idea that they could do a British Columbia design that uses the offical Province of BC tartan...

LTT Kilt confirmed.

It's somewhat tech related because.. airflow to crucial areas

This would be the main issue:

What kind of design were you thinking? I've only lightly looked into kilts and clan tartans (curious about my Scottish heritage, need to look into it more once I have the time), but from what I have read, tartans are very important clan symbols. They're only used for specific things and articles of clothing, and if you wear the official clan tartan vs one of the all-purpose ones, there's a very specific way you wear them to honor the tradition and the lives of the people who literally died for their right to wear a clan tartan. I doubt they'd want people to slap them on merch for a Youtube channel.

They do look hella comfortable (and by all accounts are), that's for sure. I'd like to get one at some point, but I both need to learn more and slim down, because the proper ones seem to be around $600-800 or more so you wanna make sure you're not changing sizes anytime soon.

It would use this tartan design but I'm not sure how it would be incorporated. It's quite a dark tartan so it wouldn't need to be overdone. I'm no designer by any stretch of the imagination.

I suppose the question is more, what would you put it on? Like I said from my reading on it, clans are very respectful of their tartans and there's a very specific way they're used.

The clans should know that its a provincial tartan. If it was a clan tartan then I could understand but it isn't and therefore have no say in the matter, all LMG should do is ask the SRT for permission to use the design.
