Its not meaningless, it stops companies selling thousand dollar phones with outdated software. Current phones will still have to deal with the same BS but its good to see Google making an effort to enforce quicker updates, they should learn something from Apple.

 

I saw an article earlier today announcing the release of android 9 on the LG V30, that shits a joke and customers should be pissed they're being treated like that
