What cable for 144hz

HDMI.

Your laptop has HDMI 2.0, your display has HDMI 1.4.

1.4 supports up to 1080p 144Hz, HDMI 2.0 even 240Hz.. But HDMI 1.4 is on your display, which supports the resolution+refresh rate.

 

EDIT:, oh wait, it mentions a little lower its HDMI 1.4 port only supports 120Hz.. What a bunch of.. Not great stuff.

Perhaps the USB Type C ports supports displayport-mode as well..? That could possibly work at 144Hz.

CHeck if your USB Type C port has a Displayport logo besides it, like this:

If it does, you might be able to use a USB Type C to Displayport cable, be sure to check it (the cable) supports 144Hz though.
