Of all the components to be cheap on the PSU isn't the best choice. That being said there are quality units that aren't ludicrously expensive.

 

What is the rest of your system?

I5 -8500

H310m pro vd

24gb ddr4 ram

Going to have a 1660 ti

And 500watt psu right now

an 1660ti consumes less than 140w.

Your system without video card won't consume more than 100w

So any psu that can do at least 250w on 12v will do.

 

Therefore even a 450w psu from a known brand that cares about its reputation would be adequate.

if you want actual suggestions give links to stores you're gonna buy from or paste list of what you can buy.

@OP Making a new thread just to shift from "how many watts is enough" to "what brands do you recommend" really isn't necessary. You could (or rather should) have continued the original thread asking for brand/series recommendations.
