Asus x550v hdd upgrade

Hello guys i'm looking to replace the optical drive with a caddy that will be paired with an Seagate BarraCuda® 1TB, 5400rpm, 128MB cache, SATA III because i'm short on memeory (only 240 gb ssd).

My question is: it's my hdd choise a good one? (i want to use it for storage and to play some videos out of it)
