Why does my GPU cause spikes in games?

I have Gigabyte GTX 1050 ti 4gb OC and every game that I play I have a 0.1-2 sec spikes which is game ruining, it basically freezes for 0.1-2 seconds but I think it's 0.1. My GPU does not go above 65°C since my fan speeds are set at 35% and I don't play games on high settings unless they're older. If the game is running at 60 fps cap, when the spike occurs my fps drops around 30-40 fps and goes straight back up, and this happens all the time. It's also game ruining in a game like CS:GO or any other online game. What could be the cause of this problem?

Is your RAM running in single or dual channel? Do you have programs running in the background?

I have a single 8GB DDR3 RAM. My mobo comes with two slots and it's a micro atx, I have a CM MasterAir 620P on my CPU and because of it I have my ram stick on my second slot. There's no room for one more.

It will run better in dual channel, try removing the cooler fan then install it back after you put in the ram or if configuration allows, rotate the cooler.
