If you can afford a 9700, just grab a 3600 or 3700X

Maybe just go with the 3600, w/ AM4 socket since AMD has shown the tendency to not change there MOBO Socket after every CPU iteration.

Allowing you to likely upgrade the CPU by itself in the future if the trend continues.

This might leave enough in your budget to sell your 1060, and apply some of that savings over Intel and get a newer GPU?

AM4 is getting old, there really isnt much of a reason to argue for that anymore. and intel isnt changing every CPU iteration either. they last 2 generation.

I would take the 2700 for one reason, you mentionned you are streaming. You a re not loosing 50% performance with the 2700 over the 3600 or 8700, and you have 2 additional cores, the 3600 and 8700 only have 6 cores.

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
