Asus VS Gigabyte

Please ignore price and explain your reasoning. Which is a better board Asus Rog Strix x570-I Gaming or Gigabyte X570-I Aorus pro wifi?

Asus; because they actually make manuals and have useful documentation.

Also I already had a Gigabyte X570 Pro WIFI (with a 3900x) and because it was so unstable I had to swap to another brand, I had the following issues:

  • Unable to get to BIOS without pulling all boot devices.
  • Could not navigate the BIOS even when I got there.
  • XMP will not stick without a BIOS update.
  • The final straw was one of the BIOS updates made the BIOS inaccessible.

Not my video but this is what the bios did on that board when I could get to it.

You can compare the specs based on this spreadsheet comparing AM4 motherboards. In all honesty, either board should be more than capable of supporting a 3900x (and likely a 3950x). Pick the one that looks the best to you and fits within your budget.

@Andrew 1337 That's interesting.

Wonder if I'll get any other opinions to help persuade me to pick 1 over the other. Where are all the people that love the Aorus??? Or the ones desperately waiting for a full release of the Asus....

I'm thinking of going Gigabyte for price and I think it looks better. I'm really not a fan of the RoG design and branding.
