I think my monitor is dead :(

lalo_caballero

Hey there guys, today on the morning my monitor was working fine it's an Acer S230HL pretty basic monitor, but now some hours later I came home and realize the monitor like this (check images), my question here is: Is this monitor dead now? or is there any fix for it :(

The only think you can do, is to open it and check in the back to see for any dying/dead capacitor.

That looks almost as if the entire right side panel frame as opened up allowing all the backlight to shine through.

try pinching the right side of the monitor bezel, does it have any affect ?

Remove this cover, under this there should be the capacitors the good ones on the top are flat, like this one

The that have u curve on the top like those one are bad and need replacement, very easy to do if you have a solder
