I would look at the XPS 15 for your price range. You can always get them on sale, and it has a bright color accurate display.

Asus ZenBooks are pretty fairly priced. They have a lot of storage space, dedicated graphics cards, and a ton of RAM. You may have to check in on the quality of the display though.
